Blake Lively fulfills her mermaid dreams in vintage dress

When you become a style icon like Blake Lively, you have to constantly find new sources of inspiration. Fortunately, she hasn't run out of ideas yet. Lively went mermaid chic when she attended the recent Tiffany Titan by Pharrell Williams Collection debut in New York City.

blake's mermaid moment

Lively attended a Tiffany & Co. event on May 2 and posted a photo of herself on social media on May 10. Her Instagram caption makes her aquatic inspiration clear. "When you dress up as a tail," she wrote, adding a mermaid emoji.

Yes, the slim-fitting midi dress definitely gave Ariel a pair of legs. The glittery piece she found at Pleasure Island—a self-proclaimed “vintage designer haven”—changes from silvery blue to teal depending on the light, and its decor looks very scaly (in a good way The way).

Lively is even more glamorous thanks to Tiffany, which she also pointed out in the caption. "We feel so special. Eat so well. Sparkle," she wrote.

The retro look managed to comfort some of her fans, who were sad to see her miss the Met Gala on May 6. Someone commented that even though Lively wasn't in attendance, he was "still the best dressed."

Extra star power

Lively also included a photo of herself and Blackpink member Rosé taken during the event, giving fans another celebrity-style moment. The photo shows us Rosé's pink strapless mini dress from Australian luxury fashion brand Zimmermann; it features a corset-style bodice and pleated skirt.

During the event, Rosé paired the dress with neutral Christian Louboutin pumps, but she upped the ante later by uploading a photo of herself wearing it with Vivenne Westwood's elevated Gilly platforms. The second pair is more unique, featuring cotton seaweed jacquard, frayed edges and ribbon ties.

This is all love between Tiffany VIPs. After Rose saw Lively's post, she commented with people-hugging emojis and four red hearts.
