Britt Robertson's best performances

Big question: Are you in love with Britt Robertson? If not, you should probably know this ASAP: The young star is poised to take Hollywood by storm thanks to her portrayal of a science-loving teen in Tomorrowland (in theaters Friday), so it won't be long before she Almost everywhere. Luckily, though, Robertson has already had a few interesting roles and projects under her belt, so it shouldn't be too difficult to get familiar with her work quickly.

The 25-year-old actress has proven herself to be a chameleon on both the small and big screens, playing a variety of characters - from quirky and sweet to deadpan. Case in point: Robertson was the romantic lead in The Longest Ride , the rebellious teen in Real Life Dan , and a small but pivotal role in Jennifer Aniston's Cake .

However, before she officially becomes the next big thing, some of her performances are definitely worth watching as soon as possible. From incredible CW shows to Under the Dome tours to quick stops in indie film lands no one talks about, Robertson has done it all. Here are some of her must-see performances:

1. Lux, unexpected life

Starting in 2010, Life Unexpected only ran for two seasons on The CW, and the fact that it didn't last longer is a real irony. Robertson plays Lux, a teenager growing up in a foster home. Before she can be freed, Lux must get the signatures of her birth parents (played by Shiri Appleby and Christopher Polaha, in case you needed more reasons to watch). However, the court decided to place Lux in the custody of her biological parents, and from then on the show became heartwarming, sad, and totally addictive. Robertson's performance as Lux is a revelation - if you don't watch anything else on this list, at least be sure to watch Life Unexpected .

2.Becky, cake

Jennifer Aniston is the undisputed cake star. Aniston gives her best performance to date in the film, playing a woman suffering from chronic pain. In contrast, Robertson's fugitive is a small but important part of the film. Her role as Becky is too spoiler-y to discuss in detail, but Cake is well worth watching for both Robertson and Aniston.

3.Anji "Under the Dome"

Robertson was the MVP of the first season of "Under the Dome." Angie is your typical small town girl who wants to go anywhere but home, but her body is trapped because of the giant dome. Robertson gives Angie a snarky attitude to match her strong big sister instincts, and the result is a character that no one wants to mess with—not even the most terrifying person on the show.

4. Sofia, the longest journey

In true Nicholas Sparks fashion, The Longest Ride is a super intense, laugh-out-loud movie. What's so important to Robertson, though, is that it's one of her few opportunities to play an adult on screen. Robertson usually plays teenagers, but as Sofia she gets the chance to play a woman who falls in love with a cowboy and befriends a funny older gentleman played by the great Alan Alda.

5. Kara Dan in real life

The middle child to Steve Carell's Dan, Robertson transformed into a completely lovelorn teenager for the role of Kara. Interestingly, Kara spends the entire movie wondering if three days is enough time to fall in love, making her a perfect mirror for her father's dilemma. When Dan falls for his brother's girlfriend, he begins to understand Kara better, leading to some sweet father-daughter scenes.

6. Katie, you can ask me any questions you have.

Ask Me Anything is one of those perfect indie films worth watching. Katie is very characteristic of this generation: she's a little lost and turns to the Internet for validation. Robertson accepts Katie's flaws and runs with them, ultimately giving the film its soul.

7. Cassie, The Secret Circle

I love supernatural dramas, and while The Secret Circle isn't perfect, it's a fun CW show about a group of teenagers who discover they're witches. Although the show only lasted for one season, its atmospheric atmosphere was unforgettable. Cassie lost her mother early in the show, giving Robertson the opportunity to delve into the grief of losing a parent and the wonder of discovering her own superpowers.

8. Ellie, Avalon High School

Made-for-TV Disney movies will always be my favorite. In Avalon High , Robertson plays Ellie, a young girl who becomes part of an elaborate high school-style retelling of the Arthurian legend. It's not Robertson's most challenging role, but "Avalon High" is an excellent popcorn movie.

9. Aubrey "First Time"

Robertson and "Teen Wolf " star Dylan O'Brien play teenagers who fall in love over a long weekend — think "Before Dawn" in the MTV era. Cute and full of long-winded tirade and teenage angst, "First Time" is a treat for romance fans and Robertson fans alike.
