Jhené Aiko and Big Sean may not be together right now, but that doesn't mean there's any love lost between them. According to Rap-Up.com, Jhené Aiko recently wrote a message to Big Sean expressing how much her ex still means to her. She sent a touching message shortly after Nipsey Hussle's death, a tragedy that prompted Aiko to open up about her feelings for Big Sean while she was still able to speak.
On April 7, Big Sean shared a video of his performance at the Dreamville Festival on Instagram. During his performance, the rapper, whose real name is Sean Anderson, paid tribute to Hussle, who was killed a week before the festival on March 31, CNN reported. In addition to performing an emotional jam in honor of the late musician, he also thanked Hussle directly in an Instagram post captioned, "We still feel your energy, thank you Nipsey."
There's no doubt that Big Sean's post left many emotional, as the news of Hussle's tragic passing hit fans and celebrities alike hard. His Instagram has also inspired others, including his ex-girlfriend Aiko, to openly express their feelings. For the "Bed Peace" singer, that meant sending her ex a special message to explain how much he meant to her and his legions of fans while the two are "still on this planet." . She started commenting:
"You are special. Tome. To the world. While we are both still on this planet, I just want to say...I love you immeasurably. Even when I'm angry, you make me mad. You Makes me feel. I appreciate it because I thought I was dead."
Despite the ups and downs the two have had over the years, Aiko wrote that she will always support her ex, no matter what. She wrote:
"My ego has no say when it comes to you. My heart has been broken a thousand times to expand. It always finds room for you. The good and the bad. I love you, from this life to the next, and All the other lives we met before I always talked shit about you, but I always had your back.”
While Big Sean and Aiko are not currently in a relationship, it's clear there's no hard feelings between the two. It's not surprising to hear that they are still on good terms, especially since they have been involved in each other's lives or have been for a while. According to an interview the songstress gave to Billboard in September 2017, the two have known each other since 2012 but only recently began a relationship ( People reported that they made it official on Instagram in October 2016) .
Most recently, Us Weekly reported in March that the couple had called it quits. An insider claimed to the publication that the breakup was not amicable at first, but "they are very civil to each other now."
Based on Aiko's recent comments on Instagram, it does sound like they were being a little too polite. In fact, it sounds like there's always been a lot of love in the pair's relationship, romantic or not.
