As we wrap up this year of hell, there's one thing to look forward to: holiday treats from Starbucks. Starting Friday, November 6, Starbucks’ 2020 Holiday Drinks will return nationwide and bring our collective holiday cheer. We may still be picking Halloween candy out of our teeth, but the holidays start when Starbucks says so, and they say it starts now.
Starbucks' holiday menu is filled with your favorite holiday drinks from past holidays. Peppermint Mocha returns for its 18th year with its classic blend of chocolate and peppermint. Yes, our sweet Peppermint Mocha is 18 years old and ripe for the taking. You will always be our little baby, Peppermint Mocha.
If the delicious combination of mint and chocolate isn't your thing, how dare you try it. But don’t worry, there are four other holiday drinks you can try. The Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, Creme Brulee Latte, Chestnut Praline Latte and Eggnog Latte are all returning for next season. If you need another reason to get in line at the drive-thru, Starbucks is giving away a free collectible red holiday cup to anyone who orders one of its holiday beverages on November 6th. While supplies last, you'll be able to enjoy your Eggnog Latte or Cozy Creme Brulee Latte in a reusable commemorative red cup.
You may notice that the gingerbread latte is no longer on the Starbucks holiday menu. If you were hoping last year's latte shortage was just a fluke, unfortunately, Starbucks isn't bringing it back in 2020. Luckily, you can recreate the Starbucks Gingerbread Latte thanks to the genius minds at Starbucks Secret Menu. Start by ordering the Caramel Ribbon Crisp Frappuccino. Then, pump the caramel syrup into the white mocha syrup and the chai syrup separately. While it's not a perfect diversion, this gingerbread latte dessert should achieve a similar sweet-spicy flavor.
In addition to a lineup of seasonal drinks, Starbucks has upgraded its bakery cabinets to make them just as festive. Sugar Plum Danish, Cranberry Bliss Bars, Snowman Cookies and Snowman Cake Pops are all returning for the 2020 holidays. This year, Starbucks is adding new Cranberry Orange Scones to its holiday offerings. It pairs perfectly with a chestnut praline latte and Mariah Carey's Christmas album, blasting through your car speakers at top volume.
As always, holiday deals only last during the holidays. So, starting Friday, November 6th, put on your mask and head to your local Starbucks. It’s drink season at Starbucks!
