McVitie's new Very important Biscuit (VIB) range is as exciting as it sounds and you'd better head to your nearest Asda to stock up from July 12th. Yes, the range will be exclusive to the supermarket giant until the end of August, when it will be rolled out to major retailers across the country.

Perfectly golden baked cookies covered in luscious caramel and milk chocolate. There are three flavors to choose from - Classic Caramel Bliss, Heavenly Chocolate Hazelnut and Lusty Blood Orange, and considering they're only £1.79 a pack, you might as well go for all three.
According to the manufacturer, VIB offers “amazing flavor and irresistible texture, which together form the pinnacle of our biscuit portfolio”. These are some pretty big claims from McVitie's, but looking at their track record, it's safe to say they know what they're doing. Their chocolate digestive biscuits came out on top as the UK's favorite biscuit, according to a YouGov poll to mark National Biscuit Day 2019.
Pladis, the brand's owner, reported that UK biscuit sales rose 2.5% in 2019 to £2.7 billion. Their forecasts predict further increases in biscuit sales in the coming year. That's not surprising considering how 2020 has gone so far. I'll turn on the kettle.
