Anya Taylor-Joy dressed up for a press conference for her new film Mad Max: The Legend of Mad Max Each head-turning outfit outshines the next. First, she wore a spiked headpiece and matching miniskirt at the film's premiere; later, she wowed in a 3D floral bodysuit at the film's UK premiere in London. And let's not forget her many movie star sunhat moments at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival! But the star's latest look might be one of her most jaw-dropping yet. Enter: She just wore a bold red Mugler dress to an event in New York.

The risqué design, straight out of the brand's Fall/Winter 2024 collection, was covered in 12 thin black belts that were fastened in a lace-up corset style, exposing Taylor-Joy's back and even part of her hips. The ends of the belt fall downwards, creating a fringe-like effect. One might even say that the overall design offers a mullet-like effect: business in the front, party in the back.
To accessorize, the star added a pair of towering burgundy heels from Christian Louboutin, a gorgeous silver bone bracelet from Tiffany & Co., dainty silver hoops and a few silver rings. But perhaps what really made this look come together was the sheer confidence with which Anya wore it.
Makeup matching
Taylor-Joy kept her beauty look equally edgy. Details included a femme fatale red lip - which matched the color of the dress perfectly - and a dramatic cat eye. Her icy platinum tresses were pulled back into a high, tight ponytail that fell down her back (even more dramatic was the daring belt). She also sports long, almond-shaped nails with chrome tips.
I hope the actress continues her unpredictable wardrobe choices for the rest of the press tour. Each exciting outfit was so different from the next, there was really no telling what she would wear next.
