Courteney Cox Recreates Monica Geller's Friends Curly Hair

Courteney Cox just hilariously brought back Monica Geller. The actress, who played Monica on "Friends" for ten seasons, went viral on Instagram on May 22 when she recreated one of the character's most memorable looks.

The video begins with a straight-haired Cox heading to the patio door, declaring, "I love Miami!" However, once outside, the actor's hair suddenly became visibly curly. Cox then mouthed the voiceover of Monica's Season 9 line: "It's the humidity!"

The character said this line in the 2003 Friends episode "Barbados Part 1" when Monica, Chandler, Rachel, Phoebe and Joey accompanied Ross on a business trip to the Caribbean. In this episode, Monica's hair becomes noticeably thicker due to the heat in Barbados. Frustrated, she finally shouted, "It's the humidity!"

Cox's latest Instagram video sparked a wave of comments from Friends fans online, many of whom referenced Monica's hair jokes from the Season 9 episode.

"I came with Monica and I left with Weird Al," one user wrote under the video. "Time for seashells," another joked, referring to Monica's solution to her uncontrollable hair - a braided hairstyle made of seashells.

This isn't the first time Cox has mentioned Monica's curly hair "do." In another recent post on Instagram, where she's famous for her 15 million followers, the actor teased some of her past on-screen hairstyles.

In the viral video, Cox is asked "What's going on?" by a dog walker outside her home, to which she replies: "There's construction going on." However, she quickly noticed the dog walker's hoodie , this hoodie features a photo of Gale Weathers' bangs from Cox's Scream 3 on the front.

"What is that? Don't wear that sweatshirt," she said. "Bangs? Come on. This is ridiculous. So embarrassing." Cox then walked into her home to check on the construction workers. To her surprise, the sweatshirts they were wearing featured some of her past hairstyles, including her "anachronistic science" bob and Monica's damp hair.
