You Can Reserve a 'Gilmore Girls' Holiday Lunch at Lorelei's Actual Residence

The Gilmore Girls winter holidays always look magical in Stars Hollow, and now, thanks to Gilmore Girls Holiday on the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Activities, you have the opportunity to experience these holidays for yourself. Following the huge success of its first edition in 2018, the event will return this year. From December 21, 2019 to January 5, 2020, you'll be able to stroll around Stars Hollow and enjoy a holiday lunch in the real-life fictional Connecticut town. You just, you know, have to go to L.A. in person to do it.

Last year's "Gilmore Girls" -centered holiday event was launched under the name "Lorelai's Holiday Lunch." For more than two weeks in late December and early January, the Warner Bros. backlot once again took on the look of Stars Hollow, allowing guests to explore Lorelai Gilmore's house, which was decorated for the holidays and "walk on familiar grounds." . According to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour website, "Footprints" is among the cast of Gilmore Girls characters. In addition to stopping at some of the show's most iconic exterior sets, the event also includes a tour of many of the props and costumes used in the show, displayed in their natural habitat (hi, Lorelai's Jeep) ——Of course, there is also a lot of photo manipulation. Visitors can take selfies in front of the Starry Sky Town sign, take pictures in the pavilion, and more.

For those who are curious, here's a video showing some of last year's highlights:

This year, Gilmore Girls Vacation will include many of the most popular activities from 2018; plus, new for 2019, is the opportunity to pose for photos in front of Luke's Diner. As the Warner Bros. Studio Tour website says, you can also "explore the town square and walk up the stairs of Starry Sky High as Rory, Ryan and Dean."

The best part is that you don’t need a separate ticket to enjoy the event. According to the Gilmore Girls Holiday FAQ, it's included in the Regular Studio Tour, Classic Production Tour, and Deluxe Tour. The Studio Tour and Classic Production Tour are both around three hours long, with two guided and one self-guided, while the Deluxe Tour, meanwhile, is around six hours long, including 5 hours of guided service and 1 Hours of self service. If you buy your tickets in advance, the two shorter journeys will cost you around $69, while the longer one is $295.

However, while the Gilmore Girls Vacation portion of the event is included with your tour ticket, the lunch itself is not. You have to buy it on site, where food options include items like pizza and burgers as well as "holiday-style meals." Vegan and gluten-free options will also be available, as well as food highlights from the show such as pies and (of course) coffee.

There aren't any details yet on what the "Holiday Style Meal" will actually feature , but in 2018, the menu included "oven-roasted turkey breast with cranberry shallot sauce, lemon garlic grilled chicken, veggie burgers, fries, house-style macaroni salad , garlic butter corn, salads and more," Bustle's Mia Mercado reported at the time. So we can expect the 2019 version to be filled with comfort food, too. Heck, yes.

Gilmore Girls holiday events will take place from December 21, 2019 to January 5, 2020 at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, approximately two miles from Griffith Park in Los Angeles. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes; you'll be walking a lot. You can book tickets here.
