Instagram is rolling out some changes for Valentine's Day that are basically the adult version of handing out Valentine's Day gifts at school. For this day only, the social media platform is transforming your feed with special in-app surprises in Stories and Direct Messages filled with hearts, smiley faces, and more. Even if you don't have a boyfriend on the romantic holiday, Instagram's Valentine's Day feature is so sweet that you'll be spreading the love all day long.

Instagram announced cute changes for iOS users on February 14, just in time to let you post flirty odes to your partner or take action on your crush. If you're always replying and reacting to your friends' stories, there's a good chance you'll update quickly. But if you don't spend much time in DM, you might need some help spotting the changes. On any other day, you can express your quick support for a story using the Laughing Crying emoji, Shocked emoji, Heart Eyes emoji, Sad emoji, Applause emoji, or Fire emoji.
