Season 6 of The Real Housewives of New Jersey is already filled with drama, and it hasn't even started airing yet. As we know, Teresa Giudice and Joe Giudice were a major contributor to the show, and their fraud charges and sentencing will be announced on July 8, as far as just days before the show's July 13 premiere. Another fact that's sure to bring more drama is the show's new content lining up. Bravo has announced that The Real Housewives of New Jersey will have three new cast members and one returning housewife who has been absent for four seasons: Dina Manzo.
Longtime fans know that Dina appeared in the show's first and part of its second season. In RHONJ's crazy family tree, Dina is Caroline Manzo's sister and sister-in-law - both of whom are married to the Manzo brothers; although Dina is now separated. Dina is also Jacqueline Laurita's sister-in-law. This show is pretty confusing, but if you're reading this, you probably already understand all the intricacies, right? correct.
When Dina returns, Caroline, Jacqueline, and Kathy Wakil will all leave the show, but according to Bravo, Kathy will continue to appear. Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga are the only remaining cast members from season five.
As for the new Housewives, they all look like The Real Housewives of New Jersey (don't be too sad if it takes a while to tell them apart, two of them are twins), but have completely different careers. Here’s a little introduction to each:
Amber Marquis
Amber was a long-time friend of Melissa's before the two fell out, and according to Bravo, Amber will try to repair the relationship. Amber holds a master's degree in biobehavioral research/exercise physiology from Columbia University, but after being diagnosed with breast cancer at age 31 and undergoing a double mastectomy, she decided to pursue a second career as an actress. There's a lot going on, you're right, and there's more. Amber also raised four children; two from a previous relationship and two from her marriage to current husband James. Bravo also noted that she "kissed her dog on the mouth," because that's as important as anything else.
Teresa Aprea
Teresa and her husband Rino, who co-own three popular restaurants, were divorced for 11 years and remarried in 2010. The two have an 18-year-old son. Teresa loves traveling, fashion and "planning amazing evenings and dinners." Okay, now we know where the crazy events are going to happen.
Nicole Moriello
Nicole is Teresa's twin and they are best friends. Nicole is a divorced mother of two teenage boys. Like the other two new housewives, Nicole has some impressive credentials. "She ran a family restaurant when she was 20 years old and attended St. John's University and the American University of Rome." Nicole now works in the private aviation field, "for a premier charter brokerage, assisting high-profile clients and helping them navigate the environment." Travel the world.”
I have to say, I'm really impressed with these new Real Housewives. This is an innocent time where we can admire their achievements and look like good people. Soon, all of this will never be mentioned again because this show is about yelling and throwing cocktails in people's faces. At least we can hope for an episode where Amber uses her extensive knowledge of biobehavioral research to provoke Teresa Giudice into tipping the table.
