Michelle Heaton's husband is her biggest supporter

Michelle Heaton, a member of pop band Liberty X, has given us soulful songs like "Being Nothing" and "Just A Little." The band formed in 2001 after Heaton and four musicians narrowly won the popular ITV talent show Popstars . Although the band broke up in 2007, Heaton continued to stay in the spotlight with television appearances and social media influence. Now, she's ready to show off her skating skills on Dancing On Ice , but how much do we know about the star's life away from the cameras?

The 43-year-old actor was married to Irish businessman Hugh Hanley back in 2010, before ending his relationship with first husband and singer Andy Scott-Lee in 2008 short-lived relationship. Hanley is PureGym's director of physical therapy and the couple have two children together - daughter Faith Michelle, 10, and son Aaron Jay, 8. In fact, in 2012, this beautiful couple was nominated for the Most Stylish Couple at the VIP Fashion Awards.

However, Heaton and Hanley also encountered their fair share of difficulties in their relationship. In a previous interview with The Sun , the singer spoke about the strain on their marriage caused by early menopause due to a hysterectomy. Additionally, Heaton struggled with alcoholism during lockdown before checking into rehab in March 2021. On Instagram, the singer shared a photo of her family of four on the steps of a rehab facility and said she was happy to have a "second chance at life."

Hanley also posted a photo of Heaton on his Instagram with a caption showing his support. "In sickness and in health. No one should suffer in silence, but it takes real strength to speak out and take action. @wonderwomanshel, you are so proud of your family," he wrote. In April 2022, Heaton shared on Loose Women a letter her husband wrote to her while he was in rehab, in which he said her behavior and lies often embarrassed him and their family.

The singer broke down in tears and explained that she was grateful to have been sober for over a year. She said: "I didn't know that person...Addiction made me fall, and addiction made me a person that I don't know now. But I didn't recognize it then." On Valentine's Day 2022, the singer posted another The Instagram post paid tribute to her husband and included a lengthy caption, which read in part: "I'm often asked how he stayed..." No one waits to go through all of this... Well , and he did it because he knew I was there, the one he married on that beach in 2010. Because of this, I am here today knowing that I am the luckiest girl alive.”

Since her recovery, the couple has shared a lot of healthy family time together, training at the gym, playing with their kids or going on vacations together. Recently, as Heaton prepared to compete in an ice competition, the family rallied to show support.
