Netflix's May slate, which focuses on comedy, features six episodes of live events with John Mulaney, coinciding with the 2024 Netflix Is A Joke Fest, taking place in Los Angeles from May 2-12. Everybody's in L.A., hosted by John Mulaney, will begin airing in installments on May 3 and end on May 10. Also broadcast live are "Katt Williams: Woke Foke " (May 4) and "Tom Brady's Roar" (May 5), including the awards ceremony Special Kevin Hart ( Mark Twain Award: Kevin Hart , May 11). Other comedy specials launching in May include Udom Taephanich ( "Deaw Special: Soft Super Power," May 1) and Rachel Feinstein ( "Big Guy," May 21).
The true crime documentaries include The Final: Attack on Wembley (May 8), which chronicles the violence that occurred when ticketless fans stormed the stadium at the Euro 2020 final in July 2021; Cooking Murder The Case: Uncovering the Cesar Roman Story (May 10), a documentary about the murder case involving a Spanish chef; and Ashley Madison: Sex, Lies and Scandal (May 15 Japan), about the data hack of a notorious dating website. Later this month, the three-part documentary series Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult (May 29) follows TikTok dancers trapped in a cult led by management company 7M.
Other May highlights include the first part of the third season of Bridgerton (May 16) and Frosty (May 3), a drama starring Jerry Seinfeld (with Mellie Starring Sarah McCarthy, Jim Gaffigan, Hugh Grant, and Amy Schumer, this comedy film loosely tells the story of the creation of Pop-Tarts.
