Here's everything to look forward to in the Big Brother 20 finale

After almost a full 99 days of lockdown, the Big Brother 20 finale will air on September 26, TV Guide reports . The extended hour and a half ensures there's plenty of room for all the drama to unfold, but there's still plenty of action to unfold before the show is over. Here's what comes next.

Host Julie Chen revealed on Double Eviction that on Wednesday, September 19, either Sam or JC will be evicted and compete to become the new head of household. The Thursday, September 20 episode will see the final veto, followed by live evictions where four houseguests will be whittled down to the final three. There may also be a segment on Thursday showing Scotty (again), Harry, Brett and either Sam or JC arriving for the jury.

From that point on, there was only one episode before finale night. Based on how last season unfolded, the Sunday, Sept. 23 episode will primarily be a clip show in which the final three contestants reminisce about their summers. After that, the first part of the final Head of Household competition will begin. However, the Season 19 finale was two hours long, while the Season 20 finale was only 90 minutes, which may affect the show's structure. Fans may get to see the entire tournament play out on Sunday, rather than just starting with HoH and ending on finals night.

On the finale night, the second part of HoH will be screened. As with last season, fans will likely see a nearly complete panel of judges discuss their thoughts on the final three contestants. The winners of HoH competition parts 1 and 2 will then face off in a live competition to determine the final HoH. That person will choose the final 2 companions they want, live voting will select the winner, and America's favorite guest will be revealed. With that, another solid 99 days are coming to an end, and fans will have to wait another year to see more summer shenanigans.

But don't worry it's not over yet. There are still four episodes left in the competition, and the competition has entered a fierce stage. All season long, Taylor has seemed to be the player doing the most to win, but in recent weeks, Angela and Casey have become competitive beasts. There is also Sam and JC, one of whom is leaving on September 19th and the other who is staying. Sam has been flying under the radar as someone who doesn't pose much of a competitive threat, but considering she won endurance HoH before, Level Six should keep an eye on her. As for JC, his social game allows him to stay competitive even when he's not winning anything. If he makes it to Final 2, will the jury like him enough to choose him as the winner?

There are so many scenarios that it really is anyone's game at this point. The only way to know who wins is to tune into the finale on September 26 at 9:30 pm ET.
