As of April 21, the video has accumulated more than 200,000 likes, leaving viewers hungry for more emoji hot tips. This prompted the creator to create a second installment on April 5, in which she breaks more emoji management rules, specifically for Instagram Stories.

"The first rule is the colors have to go together and the shapes have to go together," the TikToker explains. She cited an emoji sequence that included a disco ball, two toasting champagne glasses, a hamburger, a sparkler, and a plate of pasta as an example, explaining that disco balls and hamburgers don't go together, Because they are the same shape. She also separated the champagne and glitter glasses since they were the same color.

Next, she suggests using emojis that "are all relevant to the activity happening in the story." This means that if you're at a concert, you might want to use emojis that represent the music. If you're hiking, your best bet is to stick to the Animals & Nature tab.

Another rule you might not think of: If you use an emoji that leans in one direction (i.e. the avocado emoji), you'll need to choose another emoji that leans in the opposite direction. The creator also mentioned that she often uses the sparkling emoji in her sequences, calling it "the perfect filler if you don't have enough [emoticons]." As for where she places emojis in her stories, the TikToker said she either places them in the center of the post or moves them to the left or right depending on "the makeup of the story." genius.

If her comprehensive list of rules isn't enough, fans can also ask the creator for emoji suggestions, covering just about anything you could post, from graduation to Coachella weekend.
