Kate Middleton's 'Blair Waldorf' era goes viral on TikTok

Kate Middleton's pre-royal party caught TikTok's attention.

Paparazzi photos of Middleton from the mid-2000s show her life before marrying Prince William in 2011 in a viral video that has been viewed more than 4.5 million times.

The video is titled: "Kate Middleton before the Royals (often partying with William)" and plays over a montage of the Princess of Wales clubbing with husband William and sister Pippa Middleton. Abba's "Gimme!" Give me! Give me!

Some of the featured photos include Middleton taking a taxi after a night out on the town, partying with friends at an '80s-themed roller disco, and stepping out in a pair of Ugg boots.

“Blair Waldorf vibe”

Royal fans, many of whom are not used to seeing Middleton in such a casual setting, have had their say about the viral throwback photos.

"I'm so happy she's enjoying her youth with William, it's so touching," one TikToker commented, while another wrote: "Kate is enjoying her youth and now that she's grown up, she's obviously Mature.”

"I love the time she spent as a teenager with her husband and now they have a wonderful family together," one user also said of the montage.

One fan joked that Middleton was feeling "Blair Waldorf vibes" before marrying into the royal family - an era recently depicted in season six of Netflix's The Crown .

The Prince and Princess of Wales first met at St Andrew's University in 2001 and dated for nearly a decade before getting engaged in 2010. The following year, Middleton and William tied the knot at the 2011 royal wedding.

This isn't the first time the future queen has piqued the interest of TikTok users.

In January 2024, Middleton's unwavering royal bangs caused a stir on the platform, sparking a viral theory as to why the princess' hair always seemed to stay perfect.
