Several new smart TV models in TCL's S, Q and QM tier series are now available, all offering up to 4K Ultra HD resolution.
TCL is known for making affordable smart TVs, and its latest lineup covers nearly the same price and power range, except for more powerful models. Whether you're looking for a regular 4K TV under $300 or prefer a mini-LED QLED display just under 100 inches, there are plenty of options.
The next generation of the S-Class, TCL's S4 smart TV offers 4K Ultra HD (on Google TV or Roku TV models) rather than sticking to the 1080p Full HD limit of the S3 series. HDR Pro functionality has also been added to the S4, providing sharper contrast and more vivid colors, while also supporting wireless Bluetooth and HDMI.
The latest Q6 and Q7 models also feature OLED displays, and they also support up to 4K Ultra HD video. The Q6 utilizes LED backlighting for increased brightness, along with what TCL calls its "Game Accelerator 120 feature," which promises to reduce lag and improve response times when playing games. The Q7 uses PRO LED backlighting to achieve what TCL claims is a "truly lifelike movie experience," with improved local dimming enabling greater contrast and a 120Hz panel refresh rate.
In addition to the Q7, there's the QM8 series, which offers miniLED QLED screens with deeper darkness, brighter light, and more vivid colors overall. ULTRA LED backlighting promises to further improve contrast over the Q7, and the QM8 includes its own built-in subwoofer to help enhance the audio.
The S Class S4 is available now through multiple electronics retailers, with prices ranging from $279.99 (43-inch) to $1,399.99 (85-inch), with models supporting Google TV or Roku TV. All Q Class Q6 models are available now, starting at $499.99 (55-inch) and going up to $1,599.99 (85-inch). The same goes for the Q7, which starts at $749.99 (55-inch) and goes up to $2,199.99 (85-inch). The 65-inch ($1,699.99), 75-inch ($2,299.99), and 85-inch ($2,799.99) versions of the QM8 are available now, while the 98-inch model will be released "later this year" for $9,999.99.
