- On Twitter.com, go to More > Settings & Privacy > Change Password .

You should update your X (formerly Twitter) credentials frequently to keep your account secure and safe from hackers. Here are a few ways to change your X password.
If you know your password and want to change it, log into your X account to change it.
Log in to your X account using your current password.
Select More in the left vertical panel.
Select Settings and Privacy .
Under the "Your Account" heading, select "Change your password."
Enter your current password in the Current Password text box.
Enter the new password you want to use in the New Password text box.
Enter the new password again in the Confirm Password text box.
Select Save when finished.
You may be asked to review the applications that can access your account. Select View Applications to view applications that require new login credentials.
To add more security to your X account, set up two-factor authentication. Two-factor authentication means you'll log in using your X password - plus one of the following: a security code, confirmation from another app, or text message.
Changing your X password from the X mobile app is similar to changing your password on the X website.
Open the X application on your smart device.

Use the X mobile website when you want to change your X password using a web browser on Android or iPhone. The steps to change your X password using the X mobile website are different from using the X website.
Open your favorite mobile web browser.
Visit the X mobile website.
Log in using your current password.
Click on your profile picture in the upper left corner.
Click Settings & Privacy .
Click on your account .
Click Change Password .
Enter your current password in the Current Password text box.
Enter the new password you want to use in the New Password text box.
Enter the new password again in the Confirm Password text box.
Click Save when finished.
Use your new password the next time you log in to X.
Passwords can be lost and forgotten. If you forget your X password, please reset it.
X An email address or phone number is required to reset a lost or forgotten password. Make sure you've added one or both of these to your account.
Go to the X login page.

Enter your email address, phone number, or X username in the text box.
Select Search . You will be asked to choose how to reset your password.
Select the method you want to use to reset your password. Depending on how your X account is set up, a reset code will be sent to your phone number or email address.
Select Continue . A message will appear telling you to open your email or check your text messages.
Open the email or text message and select Reset password .
Enter your new password in the "Enter new password" text box.
Enter the new password again in the "Enter new password again" text box.
Select Submit .
Log in to X using your username and new password.
