Like most tech products, the Apple Watch comes in a base model (SE), a mid-range model (Series 9), and a high-end model (Ultra 2). But the Series 9 is arguably the best value for money, with many advanced features and design, while being closer to the SE price than the Ultra 2. The Apple Watch Series 9 GPS version currently sells for $299 (original price), and the GPS and cellular versions are $399 (original price $499), according to Price Checker , both of which are the lowest prices since launch.
Apple Watch Series 9 (GPS, 45mm, Midnight, Ring One Size Band, No Blood Oxygen)If you're not sure whether the Series 9 or Ultra 2 is best for you, you can read our full breakdown. Essentially, the Series 9 is a smaller watch with fewer features for outdoor enthusiasts than the Ultra 2. But if you want to save a few hundred dollars and don't need a brighter screen or a sturdier design, the Series 9 is the watch for you. Good choice. PCMag gave the Series 9 an "Outstanding" rating for its powerful processor, popular double-tap gesture for hands-free operation, Siri access, the ability to find an iPhone 15s with Pinpoint Finder, and its bright display.
To choose between GPS and cellular versions, ask yourself if you want to be able to use your phone without having it with you or being on the same network. Is it worth $100 to you to go for a run without your iPhone and use AirPods to play music and take calls? If so, consider the GPS and cellular versions. You can still perform these actions using the GPS version as long as you're on the same Wi-Fi network as your phone or within Bluetooth range.
Currently, both versions are only available in 41mm screen sizes, but both are available in strap sizes from 130mm to 200mm.
