This article explains how to delete your TikTok account from within the app on iOS or Android.
Before proceeding to delete your account, please note that you will lose all TikTok data, including videos. Also, if you purchased something within the app, you will not receive a refund.
If you wish to save video content from TikTok before deleting your account, select a video, click the three-dot icon, and then click Save Video . The video will be saved to your device.
Once you're ready to delete your TikTok account, there are just a few steps to do it.
Open the TikTok app and tap the profile icon in the bottom corner of the screen, which looks like a silhouette of a person.
Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen.
Click Manage My Account > Delete Account .
For verification purposes, you may be asked to log in to your Facebook or X (formerly Twitter) account to verify your identity. If necessary, click Verify and Continue to proceed.
A confirmation screen will appear. If you want to proceed with deleting your account, click Delete Account .
Your account will be deactivated for 30 days and then completely deleted from TikTok's database. During this time, your account will not be visible to the public. Chat messages may still be visible.
You will be asked again if you are sure you want to delete your account. Click Delete to continue. Once completed, your account will be deactivated.
If within the next 30 days, you decide to reactivate your TikTok account, simply log into your account using the app. You will be able to access your account immediately.
