While some people spend the last hours of the weekend busy getting ready for work or happily watching movies, others are curled up in bed suffering from a serious case of Sunday funk. No one likes the arrival of Monday, but for some zodiac signs, it can fill them with dread.
Sunday Scare is the anxiety and stress that begins to creep in as the weekend comes to an end. For some, it will rear its ugly head Sunday night. But for others, it lasts all day — and might even start early on Saturday night.
Some zodiac signs are more likely to experience the Sunday Scare than others, and that has a lot to do with the personality traits associated with their element and ruler, says astrologer Stina Garbis.
Emotional water signs tend to have the strongest Sunday fears. It's difficult for them to live in the present, so they don't enjoy their weekends and get goosebumps at the thought of leaving the comfort of their apartment, Garbis said. Don’t even talk to them about Zoom meetings.
Fire signs will also feel deep sadness on Sunday, but for different reasons. For them, it's because their parties and plans are coming to an end. As one of the most extroverted members of the zodiac, they don't like the idea of sitting at a desk for five days in a row.

Leo (July 23-August 22)
When it comes to having fun, Leos are definitely weekend warriors. They go out every night, plan multiple brunches, and try to see as many friends as possible. That's why once Sunday night rolls around, it feels like the 48 hours of partying are over.
"Leo represents the fifth house of play, so they're the ultimate good time," Garbis says. "When their weekend is over, they start to feel very sad - so much so that they make everyone around them feel sad too."
Even though this fire sign loves their job, they're sure nothing can compare to the excitement of the weekend. For Leo, Sunday's scares are akin to the end-of-the-holiday blues. They will enter the week in a bad mood, which usually won't go away unless they go out and socialize.
Scorpio (October 23rd - November 21st)
For Scorpios, the second half of the weekend is almost non-existent, thanks to their intense Sunday funk. From the moment they wake up, they spend the entire day curled up on the couch or looking for ways to relieve their anxiety, perhaps by following a relaxation routine.
"Water signs don't like going back to work because they're too emotional and have a hard time dealing with real life," Garbis says. All they can think about are the tough calls they have to make or the clients they are going to deal with, which causes them to feel legitimate stress.
"Scorpio is also ruled by Pluto, a planet that fills them with fear and can present horrific scenes at any time," Gabis said. "They get into panic attacks and gloomy moods about things they don't want to deal with, like Monday morning."
Pisces (February 19-March 20)
Pisces may have the worst Sunday scare of the entire zodiac sign. "They like to rest and lose themselves in fantasy dreams, so work is like a rude awakening for them," Garbis said. "They might even cry when they think about what's going to happen on Monday."
Once Pisces get off work on Friday, they become their most authentic selves. They love to sleep in, engage in their hobbies, or just stay in bed the entire time - and they love every minute of it.
For Pisces, when it's Sunday night again, they often feel like they're just starting to wind down. As a volatile Water sign who hates picking up the pieces, the idea of getting back into work mode seems impossible. That's why they like to stay up late on Sunday nights to extend the weekend as long as possible.
