In a now-deleted video shot ahead of the 2023 Met Gala, the 9-time Grammy winner can be seen wearing a vintage faux fur Chanel jacket and black and white feather hat, paired with a pair of black Amina Muaddi pumps and sparkling diamonds Toe Rings – Proof that this “ugly” trend is officially back in style. "Quiet luxury," the singer wrote in the caption of the post, which featured her XIV carat pear-cut diamond toe ring, which comes with a price tag of $600,000.

Jewelry expert Maxwell Stone explained in an interview with Page Six that Rih Rih's "9-carat pear-shaped diamond" may have been an intentional choice due to the ring's "unconventional cut "Symbolizing the empowerment and independence of the wearer" - which Stone says is "the perfect choice for a global star like Rihanna."
