Each 8-ounce tub combines a classic chickpea hummus base with the tangy, savory flavor of dill pickles. Have no fear: They don't just chop up some dill pickles, put it on top of regular hummus, and call it delicious. Trader Joe's Dill Pickle Hummus starts by cooking whole dill pickles with the chickpeas. Once the beans are properly cooked and infused with pickle flavor, they combine those pickle beans with standard hummus ingredients like tahini, olive oil, and sea salt, as well as seasonings like onion, garlic, dill weed, and black pepper . The final product has the creamy texture of hummus and the vinegary flavor of pickles.
