The Friends Thanksgiving special provided some of the most memorable moments from the beloved sitcom's ten seasons, with the 1999 episode "The One Where Ross Got Drugs" a fan-favorite. As viewers may remember, the episode showed Rachel Green hilariously trying to make a traditional English trifle for Thanksgiving dinner. However, Rachel, who was having trouble cooking, accidentally mixed this little recipe with a shepherd's pie recipe, ending up offering an interesting hybrid of the two.
Not wanting to hurt her feelings, Monica, Ross, Phoebe, Chandler, and Joey pretended to like the Thanksgiving dessert Rachel tried, and while sharing her mixed recipe with everyone, Rachel explained that she mistakenly added It had "fried beef with peas" and onions, which, according to Ross, "tasted like feet."
On TikTok, Friends fans have now discovered a way to make an "edible" version of Rachel's infamous gadget. First, add a layer of ladyfingers, then a layer of jam and finally custard, raspberries and more ladyfingers. As an alternative to Rachel's beef shepherd's pie ingredients, add a mixture of crushed crackers and coconut flakes, then more custard, bananas, and finally whipped cream on top.
The slightly altered recipe has attracted a lot of attention on TikTok, with some users eager to try it themselves. "Oh I will definitely make this," one enthusiastic fan wrote, while another added: "What's not to like? Custard? Yes! Jam? Yes! Meat? Okay!” is a reference to a joke from the original show.
