Pumpkin Spice Milanese is officially back this fall

Throw on some cardigans and wrap yourself in a scarf, because Pepperidge Farms just announced that Pumpkin Spice Milanos will be back for Fall 2020. Ignore the fact that we are still in the throes of summer. Whenever the God of Flavor says autumn is here.

The fan-favorite flavor is returning for another fall season. I'm sorry if you're not familiar with Pumpkin Spice Milano Cookies. Like traditional Milanese cookies, each cookie has a thin layer of chocolate sandwiched between two cookies. As the name suggests, Pumpkin Spice Milanese Cookies add a layer of pumpkin spice filling to the cookie, giving you the flavors of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, and pumpkin that you call "pumpkin spice." As with every flavor of Milano biscuit, they are best enjoyed with coffee and make you feel like you are eating something really delicious. (Yes, Milanese cookies were one of those things we thought were fancy as kids. And honestly? Still are today.)

According to an email from Pepperidge Farm, you should start seeing Pumpkin Spice Milanese cookies back on shelves by the end of August. A 7-ounce bag (15 pieces) of the cookies costs $3.89, and you should be able to find them at retailers like Target, Walmart, Kroger and Publix. Of course, all things pumpkin spice must come to an end: the cookies are only available for a limited time, while supplies last. If pumpkin spice Milanese cookies are your favorite, you'll want to buy them as soon as they hit the shelves next month.

Milano Cookies is no stranger to creative flavor combinations. In addition to the Pumpkin Spice Milanese, Pepperidge Farm also offers Irish Cream Milanese, Chocolate Orange Milanese and Toasted Marshmallow Milanese varieties. Essentially, Milanese cookies are perfect for any occasion. Pumpkin spice is no exception.

By now, I'm sure you know what to do. Anything that can be pumpkin spiced is definitely pumpkin spiced. Pumpkin spice products range from the coffee aisle to the cookie aisle to the health and beauty aisle. There’s pumpkin spice cereal. There are pumpkin spice pretzel slices. There's even pumpkin spice body wash and deodorant. If you want pumpkin spice to take over your diet, your skin care routine, your entire life, you don't have to try too hard.

Of course, saying the word "pumpkin spice" without mentioning Starbucks is a sacrilege of fall. Just like the Pumpkin Spice Milano Cookies, you probably don't have to wait until fall to enjoy a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte. Although the release date of PSL 2020 has not been announced yet, they are set to return on August 27, 2019. There's a good chance you'll be able to dunk your pumpkin spice Milanese cookies in a pumpkin spice latte, just like the pumpkin spice gods intended.
