Prime Video's Daisy Jones and the Six is adapted from Taylor Jenkins Reed's best-selling 2019 novel, chronicling the rise and fall of a fictional 1970s rock band inspired by Fleetwood Mac. While the source material is presented as an oral history, the streaming adaptation is structured as a documentary in which band members serve as narrators of the band's glory days. Led by lead singers Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin), the band catapulted from obscurity to superstardom, but at a concert at Soldier Field in Chicago After the show sold out, he suddenly announced his withdrawal. While viewers will get to see the band's complete breakdown, they won't be able to watch all ten episodes of Daisy Jones and the Six at once.
Prime Video premiered just the first three episodes on March 3, with a new batch of episodes rolling out every Friday until March 24. We’re trying to take control of March with a version of rave/no rave,” co-showrunner Scott Neustadter explained to The Hollywood Reporter in an interview published March 3 Dow. "These episodes do make sense in this rhythm, so we'll do the best we can and then hopefully the word of mouth takes over. As a TV fan, I want to watch the things everyone is talking about. Hopefully we can have a conversation. "
