Taylor Swift's Eras tour isn't the only hit tour worth your money this year. On January 17, Madonna announced that she would embark on a Celebration Tour, her first hit tour, to celebrate her 40th anniversary as the Queen of Pop. The tour will mark Madge's first major tour since 2015 and her first since the 2019 Madame X tour, during which she only performed in small theaters.
However, her tour won't start on time. According to a statement shared on Instagram by her manager Guy Oseary, the singer experienced some health issues that resulted in hospitalization. "On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a severe bacterial infection that resulted in her spending several days in the intensive care unit," he wrote on June 28. "Her health is improving but she is still receiving medical care. A full recovery is expected." On June 29, CNN reported that Madonna had been discharged from the hospital and "everything is going well."
The seven-time Grammy winner released a statement on July 10, confirming that she was "on the road to recovery" and that the tour would "begin in October" in Europe. “I don’t want to disappoint anyone who bought a ticket,” she wrote on Instagram. "The current plan is to reschedule the North American tour...I greatly appreciate your concern and support." The rescheduled dates were announced on August 15. The Celebration Tour will kick off in London on October 14th and reach Europe in December as planned, followed by a North American leg starting in Brooklyn on December 13th and running until April 2024.

During the celebratory tour, Madonna promises to perform hits from her four decades as an artist, from '80s banger "Holiday" to more recent hits like "Medellín." Madonna said in a statement: "I'm excited to explore as many songs as possible and hopefully give my fans the show they've been waiting for." Madonna Celebrates Tour Dates in 2023
With the exception of a few shows with venue changes, tickets for previously scheduled shows will be valid for the new dates. Fans holding tickets to the Aug. 27 show at New York’s Madison Square Garden will receive a code to purchase new tickets for her Dec. 16 show at Barclays Center, while holders of tickets to her September show at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles will Ticket holders will receive a ticket code for the rescheduled date of the Kia Forum in March 2024. Additionally, previously scheduled performances are July 27 in Tulsa, December 22 in Nashville, January 15 in San Francisco, January 18 in Las Vegas, and January 20 in Las Vegas Held in Vegas. Tickets for the Madonna Celebration Tour will go on sale at 10am local time on January 20 and January 27, depending on the city. Citi cardholders will have access to special pre-sales for all U.S. shows, starting January 17 for shows on sale on January 20 and January 24 for shows on sale on January 27. Having legacy membership in Madonna's former Icon fan club means those who were members as far back as 2006 also have their own dedicated pre-sale, which even started before the Citi pre-sale. VIP packages will also be available, which include top seating, a Madonna-themed pre-party and backstage tours of the entire production.
