Paris Fashion Week is the gift that keeps on giving, from Viktor & Rolf's inverted dresses to Kylie Jenner's lion heads . Now, anyone who joined Mindy Chen in Blackpink can put their name on the bingo sheet thanks to this genius crossover moment. Ashley Park stars as Mindy in Emily In Paris and has been single-handedly setting the ankle brace trend during her time in the French capital. However, she nearly broke the internet when she teamed up with Blackpink's Lisa for a few selfies.
"BLACKPINK Min-Dy Zone. Lisa, you are the cutest," Park wrote in the caption, a pun on her character's name and the title of Blackpink's 2018 compilation album, Blackpink In Your Area. The actor posed in a look from sustainable brand KAO. Stand-up comedian and actor Ali Wong and Bridgerton 's Charithra Chandran both took to the comments section to cheer the pair on, with the latter calling them "iconic".
While in Paris, Blackpink performed at Le Gala des Pièces benefit concert alongside the likes of Pharrell Williams and Mika. During the show, they teamed up with two famous classical musicians to re-interpret two of their hit songs. On "Pink Venom," the band collaborated with cellist Gautier Capuçon, and with violinist Daniel Lozakovic in a one-off performance of "Shut Down." After the show, Blackpink posed for a photo with French President Emmanuel Macron, who is a bit starstruck, just like you.
Park plays Mindy, a well-known K-Pop fan who previously sang a cover of BTS's song "Dynamite" on Emily In Paris . Group members V and RM quickly shared the number on their Instagram Stories. "When he posted that, I couldn't think straight all day. I couldn't talk. I couldn't get up," Parker later recalled on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." "I was like, 'Is this what it feels like when your body goes into shock?' Like, my sinuses, my head was like this..." However, the next day came, "I have Omicron, That’s why I feel so lost,” she added.
Fingers crossed that Mindy’s version of “DDU-DU DDU-DU” appears next season.
