Days after Travis Barker postponed his Blink-182 tour dates due to an "urgent family matter," his pregnant wife Kourtney Kardashian explained what led to his return. In a pregnancy update posted on Instagram on September 6, the Facts Are star revealed that she almost lost her baby and was rushed to the hospital for emergency fetal surgery. "I will be forever grateful to my amazing doctors for saving our children's lives," she began the letter, along with a photo of her holding Buck's tattooed hand in her hospital bed.
Kardashian went on to thank him and her mom Kris Jenner for always being there for her. "I am forever grateful to my husband, who rushed to my side after the tour, stayed with me in the hospital, and took care of me after the game, my rock," she wrote. "And my mom, thank you for holding my hand through all of this." She didn't explain exactly what happened, but said she wasn't prepared for any complications with her child. "As someone who has had three very easy pregnancies in the past, I was unprepared and fearful of rushing into emergency fetal surgery," she wrote. "I don't think anyone who hasn't been through a similar situation can understand what that feeling of fear is like."

The Poosh founder ended her letter by sharing how she's gained a newfound understanding and respect for mothers who "have to fight for their babies during pregnancy," and expressed gratitude that she's still pregnant with her fourth child. "Walking out of the hospital safely with my baby boy in my belly was the truest blessing," she wrote.
A source told People on Sept. 7 that the reality star was "terrified after finding out her baby would need surgery." The insider continued: "She doesn't want to talk about what happened. She's doing fine now. She's still resting at home with Travis."
The couple announced they are expecting their first child in June and have a retro Blink-182 reference. When Barker and his band performed in Los Angeles, Kardashian held up a sign in the audience that read "Travis I'm Pregnant," a nod to their 2002 "All The Small Things" video tribute, which featured many of their children and family members in attendance. A little over a week later, she revealed on Instagram that they were expecting a son, with a drum-themed gender reveal. "The little drummer boy is coming soon," she wrote.
