There's only one person Rihanna fans want to see in her first TikTok more than Rihanna herself: her 7-month-old son. That's the message she gave people when she posted her first video on the social media platform on Saturday, December 17. The adorable TikTok shows her with A$AP Rocky's little man, who's chubby and slimy. It may even reveal what she calls her baby, although the couple has yet to publicly reveal his name.
In the video, the pair sit in the back seat of a car together, with the baby showing that fun is in his genes. As the video begins, he turns to his mom and the camera, flashing a toothless smile that made Rihanna giggle. Then, still smiling, he pulled his chin up to his neck, waggled his eyebrows, and earned an "Oh!" From the founder of Fenty Beauty.
When Rihanna handed the phone to the baby, the baby also had the opportunity to film his own scene. Interestingly, she seems to call him "Dragon," but it's hard to be sure. So, be warned: this could be his first name or nickname - or it could still be something completely different. As cute as this little guy may be, his photography skills could use some work. Rihanna handed him her phone twice, and like all babies, he just wanted to put it right into his mouth. But that's what makes the video so captivating. Rare behind-the-scenes footage of Rihanna and her son's life together shows that they're basically just like any other loving mom and her adorable, cheek-pinch-inducing baby.
"This is [sic] baby," one enthusiastic fan commented on the unexpected TikTok. Another seemed equally shocked to see him, writing: "Omg this doesn't feel right." Someone else wrote: "Am I dreaming?" and added a red face emoji to express their surprise. Even Rihanna joked in her caption: "Getting hacked."
Fans were surprised, yes, but they were also ecstatic. "Our nephews are so precious," one wrote. Others described him as "precious," "so adorable," and "cute." People also tried to figure out what he looked like and saw shades of Rihanna and A$AP Rocky in him. At least one person also pointed out her resemblance to Rih's brother, Rajad Fenty.
The video is the closest fans have gotten to seeing the baby since his birth in May. Rihanna is well aware of how difficult it is for her and A$AP Rocky to do "the things that we as parents want to do with him," as she told AP in a red carpet clip from the Savage x Fenty show That way. November 7th. "The challenge is that we want to poop with our baby on a regular basis," she explains, citing trips to the park and walks as examples. "Because we haven't had time to share him with the world yet, we have to be very, very cautious right now."
It looks like they're ready to share more now, so perhaps his official name will be revealed next.
