Dune was already rocketing up the Netflix charts ahead of the release of Part 2, but you didn't have long to watch it, so now it's leaving the streaming platform.
Based on Frank Herbert's seminal 1965 book, Dune exceeded all expectations when it was released in 2021 (and defied the original film's checkered history). Not only was it a critical success, but its box office returns set the stage for Denis Villeneuve's sequel.
The first film follows a group of Arabs led by Duke Leto (Oscar Isaac), Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) and his son Paul (Timothée Chalamet). After the Tweedy family was granted stewardship of Arrakis, the planet was once ruled by the "cruel" Harkonnens. . However, it's certainly not a gift - and the fiefdom's true malevolent intentions soon become clear.

This comes just one day before the sequel opens in theaters across the U.S. and worldwide on March 1. But don't worry: It's still available to stream on the Max (no surprise, since it's owned by Warner Bros.).
