Meet the cast of Netflix's new Willy Wonka-style cooking show

On June 23, foodies across the pond will get to know the cast of Delicious, which aired in the UK earlier this year. Hosted by comedian Jayde Adams, the show follows a "magical edible world" with sets filled with seemingly mundane objects that are actually edible, including edible flowers, chocolate earth and Drinkable babbling brook. It's basically like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory in Come Back to Earth .

Each episode features three different contestants competing for a "golden apple" through a series of challenges. Each of their creative dishes is judged by "food gods": Heston Blumenthal, Carla Hall and Niklas Ekstedt.

Blumenthal said in a statement to Channel 4: "On Crazy Delicious , we asked for dishes that not only tasted great but were also visually stunning, emotionally powerful and nostalgic, so that was very difficult. ” The chefs on “Crazy Delicious” are certainly fearless. I've spent my career trying to perfect these types of dishes, and I know from experience that creativity and perfection don't always go together well, and I'm surprised by how ambitious some chefs are.
