Just a few months ago, Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist's Bachelorette journey began with a jaw-dropping fashion moment: She stepped out of her limo and took off her Under a tight black robe, revealing the "birthday suit" underneath (which is made of, of course, nude underwear).
This playful greeting made a lasting first impression on Gerry. Soon, the couple would be getting married, and all eyes were on Teresa's wedding dress, a stylish, well-tailored gown that was destined to be the epitome of her bachelorhood .
Here's everything you need to know about Teresa's stunning gown, which debuted on the January 4 Golden Weddings special.
Badgley Mischka was Theresa's costume designer
When Teresa teased People magazine ahead of the big day, Badgley Mischka gifted her with several "absolutely gorgeous gowns."
Of course, anyone who has watched Say Yes to the Dress (or gone through the process themselves) will understand why Teresa said she was "overwhelmed" by the choices before her.
she got some help
Luckily, Teresa had some sartorial support from her daughter, daughter-in-law, and Bachelor Kim friends Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles.
"I asked each of these beauties to pick their favorite. Then I picked three and walked down the stairs with them," Teresa told People. She said the women "unanimously" selected the winner: a sleeveless gown with a plunging neckline and mermaid silhouette.
While Teresa didn't reveal specific details about the dress she chose, it looks similar to the Adalina gown on the designer's website.
Teresa's wedding wardrobe malfunction
During the ceremony, Bachelor Kim fans were quick to notice that the armband on Teresa's dress had broken.
Many people called for someone to step in and fix the small wardrobe malfunction. One fan on X (formerly Twitter) wrote: “You mean to tell me we went to see a commercial and no one tried to fix the torn sleeve on Theresa’s dress during the break?!!”
look back
Since this is Theresa's second wedding dress, she recently shared her first wedding dress on Instagram. When she married her late husband, Billy, at the age of 18, she wore a flowing, long-sleeved, high-necked gown.
In the special, Teresa said her first wedding dress was "off the shelf," so being able to wear the designer gown on her golden wedding was certainly a meaningful milestone.
