Kelsey Anderson just found love on The Bachelor and her dad could be next. During the show's March 25 finale, Kelsey was announced as the winner of Joey Graziadei's season, and the two got engaged after a shocking twist in the finale.
With Season 28 coming to an end, many fans are looking forward to other iterations of the series, including the yet-to-be-announced Bachelor Season 2. Kelsey revealed in an interview with People that her father, Marc Andreessen, might star in the spinoff. Her father was not opposed to the idea.
"I think my dad saw how great Joey and I were together and he told me that Joey and I would never have met without this show, so he was open to it," she said, Adding that her late mother died in 2018, she would "hope he found true love. "
Kelsey continued, "She wants him to be happy and have this partnership after her, so I think that's going to be a big push for him to open up and see if he can find love on a TV show."
Bachelor fans first got to know Kelsey's dad during a date in Kelsey's hometown of New Orleans. After the episode aired, some viewers suggested that Mark should be the next Golden Bachelor.
In an interview with People , Kelsey also joked that she was initially "traumatized" by fans' reactions to her father. “People have made some trap videos about my dad,” she said. "Then I decided to take a step back and I thought, 'You know what? My dad deserves all this praise and love. He's an amazing father and an amazing husband to my mom."
While a second season of "The Bachelor" has yet to be confirmed, the first season had strong ratings on ABC and ended with Gerry Turner and Theresa Nest tying the knot in a live televised wedding. In February, the network announced that "The Bachelorette" is coming and will premiere in the fall of 2024.
