Justin Timberlake's new music isn't holding back an *NSYNC reunion, as fans feared. Instead, on March 4, the singer confirmed that the former boy band member will be dropping a song from his upcoming sixth solo album , Everything I Thought I Was (out March 15).
Spotify announced the tracklist on Billboard Los Angeles, confirming that *NSYNC will appear on "Paradise," the penultimate track on the album, which has a total of 18 tracks. (Also with Tobe Nwigwe and Fireboy DML.)
In September 2023, the band reunited for the first time in over a decade and appeared as surprise hosts at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards. A few days later, they announced they had written and recorded a new song for Timberlake's film Trolls: The Band Together . "Better Place" is the band's first song in 23 years, giving fans a sense of '90s boy band nostalgia.
Given that Timberlake had been planning to release an album and tour in early 2024, fans believed that "Better Place" would be the only part of the 2023 reunion.
Lance Bass and Joey Fatone even seemed hesitant about their ability to make more music together. "In a perfect world, that would be great," Bass told People in December. Fatone added: "Everyone has to have time to get into the studio. ... Everyone has their own life now."
That tone changed in January, when Timberlake teased the possibility of new *NSYNC music on "The Kelly Clarkson Show." "We're in the studio all the time, so there might be something in the future," he told Clarkson, adding that it would be "fun" to record together again.
In late February, Timberlake confirmed on TikTok that new *NSYNC music was coming. He shared a vinyl mockup of his new album, and one fan commented: "Blink twice if *NSYNC appears on a new song called 'Paradise.'" In his next TikTok video, Timberlake took off his sunglasses and blinked twice, but barely. Confirm cooperation.
