JetBlue’s current flash sale fares are as low as $20

It’s no secret that airfares have been rising steadily over the past few years. Not only are the airfares themselves rising, but so are all the extra costs that often come with flying, especially long-haul or international flights. In most cases, passengers have to pay extra to do simple things like check a bag, select a seat before checking in, get a snack, and in some cases even bring a carry-on bag. Unfortunately, this trend doesn't seem to be stopping anytime soon. Earlier this month, major airlines warned that fares would rise further as fuel prices rise. So whenever a really good flight deal comes around, it has to be shared with anyone who will listen. Luckily, airlines run several of these promotions each year, and while they almost always include blackout dates and restrictions, it's still worth it. For example, JetBlue's one-way flash sale offers some great travel deals you won't want to miss.

When I say "really great," I'm not exaggerating—many flights are as low as $20! When have you ever seen flights so cheap? You might think that these flights are just to very random places that people almost never go to, but that's not the case. This list of deals includes major cities like New York and Washington, D.C., and includes routes like Portland to New York City.

These deals are part of JetBlue's flash sale fares, which the airline frequently offers. Flash sale fares are hard to come by as they are only valid for one day. So, yes, you need to know this ASAP: They're only available until 11:59 PM ET, or June 26th local time. And with ticket prices so low, you really can’t go wrong when reserving your seat.

And here's the catch: These offers are valid for very specific locations, departures and arrivals, and very specific dates and times. This isn't one of those deals where you can buy a ticket to somewhere like Charleston, South Carolina, within the next three months. Instead, you purchase a ticket for a specific flight. If you want to travel somewhere specific and are willing to be flexible with your dates and times to save some money, this is definitely worth taking advantage of.

Or even better? Some of these flights take place during or around the July 4th holiday, one of the most expensive holidays to fly.

The lowest price is $20 and includes:

  • Atlanta, GA to Boston, MA July 17, 2018 5:45 AM
  • Boston, MA to New York (JFK) on July 6, 2018 at 6:44 AM
  • Burlington, VT to New York, NY (JFK) at 5:30 AM on July 4, 2018
  • Long Beach, CA to Las Vegas, NV July 17, 2018 7:37 pm
  • Flying from Washington, DC to Boston, MA on July 17, 2018 at 10:00 pm

The rest of the flights range in price from $40 to $80. Some of the most notable options include flights from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Cancun, Mexico for $80; Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas for $50; and flights from San Juan, Puerto Rico to U.S. St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, tickets are $30. For a complete list of what is offered, you can check out the website. Offer subject to availability.

If you're interested in one of these, you don't want to wait too long - these are sure to go quickly. Yes, sure, these are mostly for super early flights, but honestly? Saving a few hundred dollars is worth getting up at the crack of dawn. Plus, you can always sleep on the plane!
