Samsung has made several updates to the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite since it was first released in 2020: it was improved in 2022 and twice more this year. The 2024 Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is currently available on Amazon for $329.99, which isn't a particularly good deal compared to other mid-range tablets. However, Amazon is giving away a $100 gift card, which makes the deal more attractive.

The 2024 Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite isn't yet available in the U.S. on Samsung's own website (you can only see it visible on international product pages). The tablet made its international debut in March, but has only recently become available in the U.S. only through Amazon, with access to Amazon Prime and immediate shipping.
At its current price, the Tab S6 competes with the 10th-generation iPad, which is discounted to $349.99 (regularly $449). Both are mid-range tablets, but the newer Tab S6 includes a $100 gift card and is updated for two years, which is significant for ongoing support via software updates.
The S6 Lite starts at $329 for the 64GB storage model. You can double the storage capacity to 128GB for an additional $80, but you can't add 4GB of RAM, and it comes with a 10.4-inch LCD screen with a display resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels, a new Exynos processor, a slim metal design, dual AKG speakers with Dolby Atmos, up to 1TB of external storage, a MicroSD slot, an 8MP rear panel, and an 8MP rear panel. MicroSD slot, 8 MP rear camera, 5 MP front camera and up to 14 hours of battery life.
The main differences between the 2022 model and this one are a new processor with Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, two more hours of battery life and an updated Android 14 operating system out of the box. The design, S-Pen, screen and 4GB of RAM are all the same. If those things don't matter to you, then the 2022 version might be a better deal at $159.15 (or even the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9+); keep in mind that newer models will get more years of software updates than older models.
