love is in the air! Or at least back on the shelves. While it may feel like we're just dipping our toes in January, the 2021 Starbucks Valentine's Day mugs are already in stores ready for the upcoming holiday. If you haven't felt love before...well, you probably still don't, but at least you have some cute mugs to keep you company.
While Starbucks hasn't officially announced any Valentine's Day products, some eagle-eyed Instagram users have spotted the new Valentine's Day mugs in local stores. The new holiday mugs appear to be releasing on January 5th, but what's available in each store may vary. In addition to the holiday mugs you might be expecting — sparkling pink hot and cold drink mugs with heart graphics, pink and red mugs with Valentine's Day-themed graphics, a pack of color-changing mugs in purple and pink — Starbucks has some new of fun favorites and bring back some mugs you already love.
First up is the new best-selling to-go cup, purple with a red kiss mark. When you add hot liquid to the cup, the hickey will change from red to light pink. You heard it here, folks: Thermochromism is now ~romantic~!

If Valentine's Day has you feeling extra excited, Starbucks has something for you too. A red spiked cold drink cup was also released this past holiday season. There's a lilac mesh glass with a matte finish that looks like the violet drink turned into a cup. Finally, Starbucks appears to be bringing back the studded matte black glass they introduced in 2019 and quickly became a fan favorite. Like the fan favorite "currently reselling on eBay for nearly $45." If you missed out on the first batch of matte black tumblers, you'll want to grab one for Valentine's Day before you're swamped by used mugs with $30 price tags.
