How to view and repost your archived Instagram Stories

When you post an Instagram Story, others can only see it for 24 hours, after which it disappears from your main feed, but it's not lost forever. Instagram Stories are actually saved to a private section of your profile, and you can go back and view or re-share them at any time.

Visit your Instagram Stories archive

Go to your profile page, click on the three vertical lines in the upper right corner of the screen, and select Archive. From here, you can view archived Stories as well as archived posts and Instagram Lives (tap "Archive" at the top of the screen to switch between them). Click on the story to watch.

Reshare archived story

Click Share on the bottom toolbar and select Share or Close Friends . You can also add it to Highlights (which remains on your Instagram profile page) by clicking Highlights and selecting an existing highlight or creating a new one.

Finally, you can share the story as a static post to your profile by clicking More > Share as Post . You can also save the story as a photo or delete it permanently.

Instagram automatically archives (privately) all of your Stories unless you disable the feature. To do this, click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the Archive screen, then click on "Settings" in the pop-up menu that appears at the bottom. Toggle the "Save to Archive" button to the off position.
