This article explains how to remove Instagram users from the “Suggestions for you” section of the mobile app. We also cover how to opt out of appearing in other people's feeds as a suggested user.
Instagram tries to help you by connecting you with people you might want to follow based on things like mutual friends and phone contacts. If you're not interested in following this person, follow these steps to delete the suggested profile:
In the Instagram app, scroll through your feed until you see a horizontal list of suggested users labeled "Suggestions for you." It may appear near the top of your feed, after the first or second most recent post.
Select the X in the upper right corner of any suggested user box. The suggestion will disappear immediately.
Instagram won't ask you to confirm that you want to delete suggestions, so make sure you don't want to be reminded to follow them. You can't undo this, but you can still search for the person later as this is different from blocking the profile.
Alternatively, to speed up the removal process, select See all above the list of suggested users. Here you can delete multiple suggestions in quick succession.
If you remove all suggestions from the list, refresh the page to see more.
Your profile may be in the same "Suggestions for you" section on someone else's Instagram account. While setting your account to private won't hide your profile from being recommended to others, you can turn off a switch in your profile settings to end this.
This only applies to websites, not apps.
Select the profile icon in the upper right corner to open your profile on the Instagram website.

There is no specific way to remove Instagram’s ability to suggest search results when typing in the search bar. Even after clearing your search history, Instagram will make suggestions, some of which may be based on your past activity.
There's no clear-cut way to appear in someone's Instagram recommendations. To increase your chances of showing up, use relevant hashtags, follow similar accounts, and post high-quality content. Also, make sure you have a public Instagram account so everyone can see your posts, and confirm that account suggestions are turned on.
To completely clear Instagram cache on iPhone, you need to delete and reinstall the app. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > See all [#] apps > Instagram > Storage & cache . Click Clear Cache .
