The iconic pink Motorola Razr makes a comeback

In 2004, there was no bigger status symbol than the pink Motorola Razr. Paris Hilton was one of the trendsetters of the early 2000s, never missing an opportunity to be snapped by the police, with her trusty phone by her side, and even Avril Lavigne The punk rock style also pairs perfectly with the flashy phone. It's all about the smartphone these days, but now the iconic pink phone is finally making a comeback in the form of the Motorola Razr+, which means you can live out your millennial dreams without compromising a touchscreen and HD camera.

You'd better start pulling your old Juicy Couture tracksuits, low-rise jeans, and jelly sandals out of your closet now, because as soon as you get your hands on your new retro phone, you're going to be in full Y2K mode. Launched on June 1, the Razr+ is a redesigned version of a classic accessory from the early 2000s, this time a foldable phone that flips open to transform into a sleek smartphone with a touchscreen. There's a usable screen on the outside, and there's even a front-facing camera that lets you take the perfect selfie without opening the phone, and also lets you position the device as its own tripod. Now, Paris Hilton, the self-proclaimed inventor of the selfie, might be backing the feature.

Additionally, the new Razr comes with a wide variety of games and offers plenty of home screen customization options, such as a unique clock design and panels to help you prioritize your favorite apps.

If you didn't know, the Razr was resurrected in some capacity back in 2019. At the time, the battery was only available in Noir Black color, with a Blush Gold option later released in 2020. But with the redesigned battery available later this month, you can buy the phone in Infinite Black, Glacier Blue, and of course, the classic Viva Magenta colorway you probably owned (or begged your parents for) nearly 20 years ago. Be still, my beating Y2K heart.

The new device will be available for pre-order via Motorola's website and select carriers on June 16, and will be officially available in stores starting on June 23. You can purchase it through AT&T, T-Mobile, Spectrum Mobile, Google Fi Wireless, Optimum Mobile, Best Buy, Amazon or the Motorola website for a suggested retail price of $999.99.

They say it's all back in style, and with the millennial vibe everywhere, it was only a matter of time before the beloved electronic music of the early 2000s made its triumphant return. It's hard to actually pull off this style (low-rise jeans can be divisive!), but as long as you have a Razr in your hands, you're on your way.
