Sarah Jessica Parker and her cast are back on set for Season 3 of This Is It... , which means fans of the scripted series are already on the streaming service You can get a sneak peek before it premieres.
Over the past few weeks, Parker has been seen wearing everything from paint-splattered overalls (which felt very Aiden-esque) to her character's signature oversized 3D rose detail (this time, Pin it in her hair instead of her top). But few things capture the essence of Carrie Bradshaw more than a topless look.
However, rather than wearing completely sheer tops or tank tops and neon bra combos in the early days, Bradshaw took a fancier approach to the trend.
Carrie's see-through lace look
On Tuesday, Parker was seen wearing a white ankle-length lace Simone Rocha dress for a photo shoot outside Tiffany & Co.'s famed landmark location in New York City. The somewhat see-through look was paired with a black bra, peeking out from beneath the sheer design in a subtle yet slightly sad way.
At first glance, the outfit doesn't look like something Bradshaw would have worn in her heyday. True fans of the fictional fashion icon know, however, that there are a few key indicators that this outfit would work well within the Sex and the City cinematic universe — starting with the accessories: a pair of Victorian-style Maison Margiela pumps, a kiss lock Clutch, fringed Ann Demeulemeester shawl jacket and black hat. Danny Santiago, one of the show's costume designers, said all of the items are vintage.
Ladies day out
As if seeing Parker out filming a movie wasn't exciting enough, seeing one of her best friends with her was a real treat. More specifically, she posed with Kristen Davis, who plays the always graceful character Charlotte York on the show.
Davis wore a striped A-line dress by Emilia Wickstead and a belt by Manifest Boutique. In true York fashion, the ladylike look included a yellow shoulder bag and matching Christian Louboutin sandals.
Both Davis and Parker's characters have come a long way in terms of style. But if this is the direction their wardrobes are going, I can't wait to see what the new season has in store.
