EaseUS Todo Backup is a free backup software that supports automatic backup of system drives, specific files and folders, and entire hard drives.

The recovery feature in the program provides the easiest way to retrieve backup files by mounting the backup image as a virtual hard drive. If you're having trouble retrieving your files after backing them up, I highly recommend checking out this program from EaseUS.

The types of backups supported, as well as what you can choose to back up on your computer and to where, are the most important aspects to consider when choosing a backup software program. The following is information about EaseUS Todo Backup:

Supports full backup, incremental backup, and differential backup.

Backups can be created of an entire hard drive, certain partitions, or files and folders.

The program supports partition backup, including the partition where Windows is installed (system partition). This can be done without restarting your computer or using any external programs.

Backups are saved to PBD files, which can be stored to a local hard drive, a network folder, or an external hard drive.

EaseUS Cloud is also listed as a backup location, which is the company's online storage option - they offer 250 GB of free storage for you to use. There's also an option to add a cloud storage service to connect your Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive account. These options essentially turn the program into an online backup service.

• If Pre-OS is not enabled, you can build a WinPE or Linux emergency disk to start EaseUS Todo Backup, but you will still need to recover or clone the disk.

• If you have a backup of your files, just double-click the backup file (PBD file) to open it in EaseUS. What you see looks a lot like a regular folder in Explorer, so you can copy the backed-up files out of that folder if you want, but you have to have the program installed to do that.
• The space required in the destination folder for the backup can be calculated to ensure there is enough space before starting the job.
• You can schedule the backup to run just once, at a certain time interval during the day, or on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
• Supports scheduled system partition backup.
• You will be prompted if the backup destination does not have enough disk space to save the files.
• The Logs section allows you to browse, search, filter, and export successful and failed backup jobs.

EaseUS Todo Backup lacks some features, but overall, I think it's a very good program.

The recovery feature is quite possibly my favorite feature of EaseUS Todo Backup. Similar backup programs require you to view the backup from within the program, but being able to mount the backup like an actual drive in Windows makes browsing very easy and natural.

I appreciate that a system partition backup is included. The fact that you can run it on a schedule makes it even more beneficial.

Securing your backups should be a feature of any good backup program, and EaseUS Todo Backup supports this.

Few backup programs allow you to run software before booting Windows without using a disc or flash drive to run it, and that's exactly what Pre-OS in this program allows. It is very useful when your computer becomes unusable and you need to restore the system partition.

I don't like that the free version doesn't support email notifications, event-based backups, custom commands, off-site replication, file exclusions, file type-based backups, smart backups, and disk/system cloning.

While some of these options can be seen in the free EaseUS Todo Backup, they don't actually work unless you upgrade to EaseUS Todo Backup Home, the commercial version of the program.
