One of the best things about Amazon gear is that you can often score generous discounts, even outside of big sale days like Prime Day and Black Friday. This is one of them. Several Echo smart speaker device bundles, including Kasa smart light bulbs, are available for up to 63% off, but my favorite is the Echo Pop bundle, which is on sale for $22.99 (regularly $62.98).

Echo Pop with TP-Link Kasa smart color light bulb

You may have seen these bundles before, but you may remember Amazon bundling the speakers with Sengled smart light bulbs. I like the Sengled lights, which unlike Hue lights, don't require a hub, but I did have some trouble connecting it to my Echo and Google ecosystem. The Kasa smart light bulb is the same concept, but it comes from TP-Link, a company that makes other smart technology devices. The Kasa smart bulb also has better reviews on Amazon than the Sengled (if that means anything to you).

The price of the Echo Pop dropped to $17.99 on Black Friday and may not return to its original price before Prime Day this summer. You can consider the Echo Pop as a more economical option than the Echo Dot. It's basically a fifth-generation Echo Dot cut in half, with a flat surface instead of a spherical design. It's not as loud as the Echo Dot, although it does have a balanced sound and can double as an Eero WiFi node. You can read the full PCMag review of the Echo Pop here.
