Zoe Brooks will return to Pacific Coast College. On January 12, Paramount+ announced the filming of a sequel to "Zoe 101" , currently officially titled "Zoe 102" . Nearly 15 years after the Nickelodeon series ended in 2008, Paramount+ has ordered the new movie. Jamie Lynn Spears, 32, will reprise her eponymous role as key-wearing, fun-loving Zoey Brooks, with most of the show's original cast return. But not all of Zoe's former classmates are involved.
"I couldn't be more excited to return to the PCA family and continue telling the stories of Zoey and all the characters fans know and love. As an executive producer, it's a great experience to be working with such incredible talent as well as Paramount+ and Nickelodeon Exciting opportunity," Spears said in a statement. The original series follows teenage Zoe as she attends an elite California boarding school that has just begun admitting girls after years of being an all-boys school. The student quickly made new friends and even romanced her best male friend Chase Matthews on her first day, becoming one of the most famous ships in Nickelodeon history.
Paramount+ has released a first look image from the set of Zoey 102, which shows Spears sitting in the director's chair and proudly pronouncing her character's name.

Who will participate in Zoey 102 ?
In addition to Spears, actors slated to reprise their roles in Zoey 102 include Sean Flynn (Chase Matthews), Erin Sanders (Quinn Pensky), Christopher W. Marcy (Michael Barrett), Matthew Underwood (Logan Reese), Abby Wilde (Stacey Dilson) and Jake Salvador (Mark Del Figaro decoration).

There will also be changes to the behind-the-scenes staff, as original series creator Dan Snyder is not involved. Instead, Nancy Hall will direct the film from a script written by Monica Schell and Madeleine Whitby, with the trio set to executive produce alongside Spears and Alexis Fisher Producer.
Who wouldn't go back to Zoey 102 ?
Sadly, the gang didn't all get back together. Victoria Justice (Lola Martinez) and Paul Butcher (Dustin Brooks) will not return. Alexa Nikolas, who played Nicole Bristow in the first two seasons, also doesn't appear in the sequel. The actor has previously spoken out about the treatment she received on the set of the original show, and even staged a protest outside Nickelodeon headquarters with survivors of child sexual abuse, claiming the network "failed to protect her."
When Zoey 102 was announced, the status of Austin Butler (James Garrett, who was Danifer in one episode) was unclear, considering he was nominated for Best Actor for Elvis In the Oscar campaign. But it turns out, as Butler told the Variety Awards podcast on February 17, he wasn't even invited to be in the movie.
"I haven't heard anything about it. I don't know," he said.
