Brooklyn Beckham's English breakfast sandwich recipe is causing quite a stir

Brooklyn Beckham showed off his cooking skills for the first time on TV and the internet is abuzz .

According to the "Sun" report, on October 6, Beckham put on a chef's hat and prepared an English breakfast sandwich during a program on the "Today Show" in the United States. In an interview with hosts Hoda Kotb and Carson Daly, Beckham outlined the sandwich's "special" recipe, which includes slices of English bacon, country sausage, eggs, soft white bread and topped off with tomato Sauce.

Throughout the cooking segment, Beckham also discussed how he got into cooking during lockdown, revealing that cooking is something he "loves to do".

"I've always loved food and obviously when lockdown hit I just really started getting into it... My fiancée [Nicola Peltz] started filming me and I started posting about it and it was just something I loved doing, ” he told Kotb and Dali.

Despite Beckham's enthusiasm, many watching at home weren't so convinced of Beckham's kitchen skills.

"Brooklyn Beckham (son of David and Victoria) came to the TODAY show to share his (new) passion for cooking. He made a breakfast sandwich. Topped with ketchup," one Twitter user wrote, While another user commented, "This is sausage, bacon and egg pancakes, not Master Chef ."

Speaking on the Today show , Beckham also revealed that the now-infamous English breakfast sandwich recipe has been in his family for generations, adding that it was "taught" to him by his great-grandmother.

While preparing the dish, he also shared some helpful tips for those watching at home, which included slicing the sausage down the middle and poking the egg yolks with his fingers to make sure they were cooked through.

Beckham's cooking show has debuted, with reports suggesting he is currently in talks with social media giants Youtube and Facebook to launch his own online cooking series, according to The Sun. Beckham's career change comes just a few years after the release of his 2017 photography book What I Saw , which received similar reviews to his more recent culinary ventures.
