The acquisition of Colin the Caterpillar shows no signs of stopping and now fans of the gourmet chocolate can have a piece of the famous cake in a jar anytime, anywhere. Yes, this jar does have a mini Colin the Caterpillar face, so you can breathe a sigh of relief.
Marks & Spencer describes the tin cake as "layers of Colin's goodness", including rich chocolate sponge, Belgian chocolate sauce, chocolate ganache, and milk and white chocolate chips with Colin's face on top . Available now, priced at £4, each 178g serving is packaged in a reusable jar and is fully recyclable.
If you're not too concerned about the Colin the Caterpillar hype, Marks & Spencer has you covered. They also offer raspberry ripples and billionaire cake tins. Both cost £4 but are slightly smaller at 158g and 169g respectively. The Raspberry Ripple and Trillionaire jars feature a layered Madeira sponge base and feature raspberry and chocolate fudge themes respectively.
"Gone are the days of picking out a cake to suit everyone's taste, now you can mix and match to suit everyone," Natalie Tate, chief product developer at M&S Cakes, said in a press statement obtained by Bustle. “Just like an indulgent ice cream tub – jumping right in with a spoon makes the experience even more delicious.”
