It's every coffee drinker's favorite time of year: Pumpkin season is back at Starbucks. You no longer have to worry and wonder when you can get your hands on the must-have fall drink, because Starbucks’ Pumpkin Latte is making an epic return on Tuesday, August 30, 2022.
If we look back over the past few years—from 2011 to 2017, specifically—the official return date for pumpkin spice lattes is usually the first week of September. However, in recent years, Starbucks and other coffee chains have been getting into the fall spirit earlier and earlier. While you may not be ready to say goodbye to summer just yet, embracing all things cozy—pumpkin spice, fall home decor, and Halloween costume ideas—should be enough to get you in the fall spirit.
But the fun doesn't stop with the beloved Pumpkin Spice Latte, as Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew returns to the menu for the fourth year in a row. For a refreshing kick, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is cold brew coffee sweetened with vanilla syrup, topped with pumpkin cream cold foam and a light pumpkin spice topping. Basically, it's the dream of any coffee drinker who loves their iced beverage year-round.
In addition to the pumpkin spice latte returning for its 19th anniversary, Starbucks also announced the return of pumpkin baked goods, including pumpkin cream cheese muffins and pumpkin scones. Both of these additions will be available throughout the season along with year-round pumpkin bread. If you're not in the mood for pumpkin-flavored treats, Starbucks also offers Apple Crisp Oatmilk Macchiato (returning for a second year, this time dairy-free) and Vanilla Cake and Cream Owl Cake Pops, dipped in chocolate icing.
Now that Starbucks' fall products are about to launch, keep in mind that the summer products will be discontinued until next season, when the brand will inevitably have something special to offer. That means you're saying goodbye to this year's new Chocolate Cream Cold Brew. Thankfully, these three fall drinks can fill that coffee-shaped hole in your heart.
To curb your caffeine cravings before the fall menu officially hits Starbucks stores, grocery stores across the country are offering a slew of pumpkin-flavored treats. Ahead of the much-anticipated return of the PSL on August 30, some autumn favorites are back on the shelves and ready to be consumed. Starbucks has introduced new Nitro Cold Brew Pumpkin Cream and Salted Caramel Mocha flavored roasted and ground coffees that pair perfectly with the returning creamer.
While it's technically still summer, the return of the Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte and all the other fall treats means fall is already on our minds. All we need now is some sweater weather.
