Disney Epcot Mac and Cheese recipe uses 3 types of cheese

Despite still being in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, Disney World is currently hosting the Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. Although the event will look different this year due to social distancing guidelines, if you want to take a safer route and stay home, Disney is making it easier for you to do so. Disney posted its World Showcase macaroni and cheese recipe on the Disney Parks Blog.

Disney's mac and cheese recipe follows a very regular recipe, just with a twist of Disney magic. To make macaroni and cheese, you need a lot of ingredients. These include butter, bread crumbs, kosher salt, pepper, your favorite pasta, flour, whole milk, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, white cheddar cheese, yellow cheddar cheese, and Boursin garlic and herb cheese. It may seem like a lot, but everything combines to make the macaroni and cheese extra cheesy and delicious.

Remove the crumbs and toast, adding salt if necessary. Then, make sure you cook the pasta before you start making the cheese.

Melt the butter into the pan and begin stirring in the flour. Once it begins to thicken, add the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and mustard powder to the mixture. Then, cook the mixture until creamy. Start adding the cheese, except for the Boursin's garlic and herb cheese. After that, add the previously cooked pasta, adding salt and pepper as needed. Then, top with boursin and toasted bread crumbs.

After that, your mac and cheese is ready to enjoy. Even though the recipe says it serves eight, you can definitely keep it all to yourself. Just make sure you have a Disney movie playing in the background to really get the full effect.

If you want to mix up the macaroni and cheese recipe, CoralJoyTravel actually has another recipe from Epcot's Le Chef De France: Macaroni Gratin (or Macaroni and Cheese). Some of the ingredients remain the same, but you'll have to replace the garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, white cheddar cheese, yellow cheddar cheese, and bourcin garlic and herb cheese. Instead, you can add some nutmeg, heavy cream, shredded Gruyère cheese, and grated Parmesan cheese.

This isn't the first time Disney has released recipes for some of its best (and most amazing) comfort foods. Since quarantine began, Disney has been giving its favorite fans recipes to try at home. From Walt Disney's favorite chili to Disney's Grilled Cheese Sandwich, the Disney Parks Blog has plenty of feel-good recipes to try at home. So even if you don't want to risk a trip to Disney, you can always bring your favorite treats to your own kitchen.
