3 Ways to Make Pumpkin Spice Dagona Coffee at Home

If you've been online much over the past few months, you'll know that whipped coffee (aka Dalgona coffee) has taken over our collective morning routine. If you've been around a Starbucks since 2003, you know that our cultural love for the pumpkin spice latte borders on the cult. So, of course, it was only a matter of time before we learned how to make pumpkin spice Dalgona coffee. If it could be whipped and pumpkin spiced, we'd find a way.

There are many ways to level up your Dalgona coffee. You can get as drunk as a Russian white coffee. You can swap out the milk for a flavored creamer of your choice. You can make it vegetarian. No need for a hand mixer to make. Heck, you can even make it without milk.

There's really no wrong way to brew coffee. As long as you're patient, use instant coffee, and preferably a hand blender, you have a three-quarter chance of drinking your own Dalgona coffee. If you want to combine an old favorite with a new coffee twist, you can make Pumpkin Spice Dagona Coffee just as easily as you make regular whipped coffee. Here are three ways to make pumpkin spice Dalgona coffee at home.

1. Start from scratch

To your usual whipped coffee base (equal parts instant espresso, hot water, and sugar), add 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon and 1/8 teaspoon each of cloves, ginger, nutmeg, and cardamom . If you have pumpkin pie spice on hand, even better! Add 1/4 teaspoon instead of individual spoonfuls of cloves, ginger, nutmeg, and cardamom. Then, proceed as usual. Whip to desired frothy consistency, add to iced milk, and enjoy! For complete steps, check out Hot For Food's recipe.

2. Use coffee creamer

Brew coffee as usual. Again, this is equal parts instant espresso, hot water, and sugar. Add pumpkin spice coffee creamer to a glass of ice instead of the usual milk. Lest you think you're lacking options, you can choose more than one. And of course, Starbucks’ classic PSL creamer. You can also buy equivalent pumpkin spice creamers from Coffee mate and International Delight. Silk's Pumpkin Spice Almond Creamer even has a dairy-free version. I can attest that all four are equally delicious. Finally, top it off with your whipped coffee and voila! Whipped PSL.

3. Use PSL instant coffee

According to the coffee giant itself, you can use Starbucks VIA instant pods to make whipped coffee. The same goes for Starbucks VIA Instant Pumpkin Spice Latte Packs. Simply mix VIA packets with 2 tablespoons hot water and 2 tablespoons sugar. Since VIA packaging is already sweetened, you may want to add less or no sugar if you don't like your whipped coffee too sweet. From there, you know how to do it: Blend until peaks start to form, then draw it over a glass of milk with ice.

You can even combine all three ways to achieve Whipped PSL in X-Games mode. Use PSL Via packets instead of instant coffee, use pumpkin creamer instead of regular milk, and sprinkle some pumpkin pie spice on top.

Bringing you a blessed PSL!
