The highly anticipated " Red" (Taylor's Version) album is about to be released, but according to Taylor Swift's recent TikTok, the singer is not only reviving the music, but also recreating the album's signature beauty look.
Swift only recently started sharing videos on the platform (which she renamed SwiftTok ), presumably to promote her upcoming re-release of "Red." But the piercing-eyed Swift quickly caught people's attention: The singer sported straight bangs, black eyeliner, her signature red lip and matching ruby red nails. It's no coincidence: The Grammy winner paid an extra tribute to the emotionally charged Rhett by restoring the glamor she sported on the album's original cover art, all - allegedly - to promote The vault is about to reopen.
Since releasing her first TikTok, in which Swift donned styles from Fearless and Red Music Stage, the musician has shifted gears to focus solely on the latter as the release date approaches. As it happens, fans are particularly fond of Swift's (now) "retro" vibe. To celebrate the upcoming fix, Bustle asked the experts for tips on how to recreate Swift's red beauty look, from her bangs to her colorful pout .

1. soft waves
First things first: Copy Swift's flowing style with a GHD straightener or another flat-edged straightener, says Devin Toth, hairstylist at Salon SCK. Start by using it on your bangs—or, if you don't have one, Toth suggests trying clip-on glasses. "The key is to style the bangs by bending the iron at a 45-degree angle while sliding it through the hair," he says.
You can then add some volume and loose waves, like what Swift wore on the red album cover. "Simply perm your hair with a straightener and twist the ends into small waves," Toth says. Subtle bends are your best bet for a more natural look.

2. red lips
Of course, Swift's red look was defined by her red lips. To create vibrant lips, Los Angeles-based makeup artist Rachael Krutchkoff recommends using "Siren Red" lip liner as a base. "Start by applying lip liner all over the lips, then apply matte lipstick," she says, adding that when recreating Swift's look, you should emphasize the cupid's bow and define the lips.
"Apply a little at a time and blot so it stains and lasts all day," says Kruchkov. While she cites NARS' Dragon Girl Velvet Matte Lip Liner as the ideal shade to emulate Swift's look, she notes that you can pair it with any bright red and matching lip liner.

3. Fine tip eyeliner
After covering your lips, apply a simple yet striking cat-eye pattern. Krutchkoff says almost any black liquid eyeliner will do, but she's particularly fond of Eyeko's Black Magic Liquid Eyeliner.
One tip for achieving a super-fine flick is to use something flat, like an eyebrow pencil or tape, and measure the angle between the end of your brow and the edge of your eyelid to create the perfect angle, says Kruchkov. "Then make a tiny mark or line from the eyelid outward," she notes. "Then, follow this line lightly to your lash line while opening your eyes and gently looking down into the mirror." Once you reach the end of your eye, flick upward to create a cat-eye effect.
It's okay if you can't get your cat eyeliner to be perfect. Kruchkov recommends using two eyeliners—one liquid and one pencil for smudging, with the latter covering up the mistakes of the former. "If you screw it up, you can't tell," Kruchkov asserted, adding: "Our eyes are sisters, not twins. There's always that little bit of deviation in the movie."

4. Black mascara
It's time to match your lashes to your eyeliner. Apply a few coats of dark black mascara to lengthen your lashes and add volume, says Kruchkov. But don't worry too much about them—Swift's signature look stems largely from a red lip and bright inner eyes (next).

5. bright eyes
Finally, to fully realize Swift's simple yet bright appeal, Krachkov recommends finishing the look with a brightening eyeliner or "a little highlighter" in the inner corners of the eyes. This will give the illusion of opening them up, completing the signature red aesthetic. That said, depending on how committed you are to the look, she says you can apply shimmery eyeshadow on the inner eyes and lids to add pop .
